This is some of the best historical fiction I've read in a while. I loved the characters, the setting, the relationships... everything. Some of the scenes dealing with the copper company were a bit dull but for the most part I loved it.Great continuation of the Poldark series.Review to soon follow

The second of this series does not disappoint. Again, the Cornwall landscape is lyrically described and reflects human emotions and moods. The multitude of characters personalities are deep and extremely interesting. Their actions reflect the social structure, customs and political atmosphere of the times.
