Woah! That definitely shook things up. I'm glad all the building up in the previous volumes had some release. Now I'm excited to see where the story goes from here! But but but...WHAT. WHY DID THIS HAPPEN??? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO EVEN NOW???? No I'm not crying. YOU'RE CRYING.*sobs*This one is like impossible to review without spoilers. I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO WORD RIGHT NOW. I HAVE FEELS. A BRIEF RECOUNT OF MY THOUGHTS ON THIS ONE: Plot twists. PLOT. T.W.I.S.T.S. Omg they were incredible and so well done. I'm pleased to announce that Light is back to being evil. Phew. The "good" Light was disconcerting. L eats so much though. Like he is ALWAYS EATING. Also
ALERT: SPOILERS. If you love L like you should because you are a SANE person and not a flipping psychopath like all those nutjobs on the internet who actually LIKE Light and Misa....Then keep calm and remember: L has faked heart attacks before. L can do it whenever he pleases because L is a f*cking genius. L has outsmarted everyone AGAIN. Now, stop reading the books here. L wins. The end. That's it. Good bye Light and Misa. I think, as irony, they should make the two of them live out life
It was logical, I know but, L can't just die that easy! It was equivalent when both Light and L were competing but now, Light can't just win! Even if L is replaced by a successor who's just as smart as L once was. Now I'll have to wait before I get back to the library and start Vol. 8!
I'm with Caroline. First half was AMAZING, a continuation from Vol 6 which knocked my socks off, but as soon as L died and Light had no more opposition, both the format and the style changed. I was bored out of my mind for about twenty pages, which is the first time that happened this entire series. I have to say the art on the pages where L dies is STUNNING. The last look Light gives him, the glazing of the eyes, the last wavering where you still get the feeling that despite the fact he just
This volume leaves you unsettling. The matters are going out of hands. Thrilling is an understatement.
Even just looking at my face while I am reading Death Note could be considered a spoiler.
