Annabel Horton And The Black Witch of Pau is the second book in the series, however, I read it as a standalone and it worked just fine. My first read by Olivia Hardy Ray was wonderful and I very much enjoyed the ride she took me on.The world is beautifully crafted, the writing is concise and addiction, and the characters are very vivid.This is a historical, paranormal, fantasy novel. The world is mysterious and so well-written that I felt as if I was transported into the story and I got to be aAnnabel Horton and the Black Witch of Pau is the second book in a series by Olivia Hardy Ray. The book is a piece of paranormal historical fiction that does an excellent job of blending the two genres. Olivia Hardy Ray takes us back in time thanks to her beautiful descriptions and her excellent attention to detail. The second book of the series brings another historical paranormal fantasy with strong characters and an intriguing story line. It's brought to life with the authors descriptive writing and vividly painted scenes. It's a fast paced read that had me glued to the pages right to the end. I'm looking forward to the next book.
