Piece Out Of Books Paper Girls, Vol. 1 (Paper Girls #1)
Find all of my reviews at: http://52bookminimum.blogspot.com/Boy, this one had A LOT of stuff going on. Buckle up, kids, and Ill take you on a crazy acid trip explain things . . . sort of.Our story begins in the wee hours of Halloween when noob Erin is being accosted by local hooligan Freddie Krueger while attempting to complete her paper route. Luckily for Erin, the other paper girls have already hit the streets and appear just in time to save the day. Not so lucky is the first impression

While waiting for the next Saga volume to come out I thought to check out another series from Brian K. Vaughan. I enjoyed it but I don't think it is as good as the other. It was weird with different strange creatures and an attractive 80' vibe. I might continue with the series but i am in no rush to do so.

Err...Ugh and stuff? Was this really written by the same guy who created Saga? Not that I'm a deliriously hysterical Saga fan or anything (yes, that's another series I read wrong), but I kinda sorta expected more from this because of Brian Vaughan's involvement. What more was I expecting, you ask? Well more maturity, for one. Okay, so the fact that this is called Paper GIRLS as opposed to um, you know, Paper WOMEN, should kinda sorta have clued me in as to the age of the characters. But it

*3.5 Stars*I am always trying to read graphic novels because that is what my students "read" and by read I mean they love looking at the pictures. (I teach high school students with intellectual disabilities). This book was interesting enough and I chose it for the A Book for All Seasons goodreads' book club. I hope to read the whole series and see what happen to the girls. I would have rated this book higher but there were times in the graphic novel that I felt it jumped around too much and I

1.) Paper Girls Volume 1 ★★★.52.) Paper Girls Volume 2 ★★★★3.) Paper Girls Volume 3 ★★★★--------------------------------------------------what da heck did i just read?????????

Eh. After calling it quits on the Saga series (because I realized, several volumes deep, that I simply did not care about it), I thought I'd give a different series from Vaughan a try, because my friends all seem to love his stories so much that I kept feeling like I was missing out on something. After reading this, I'm convinced that his work just isn't for me. The artwork is super fun and lively, but this volume didn't catch me at all. I might give the second volume a try, but it's feeling

I'm not entirely sure what I just read but I know I thoroughly enjoyed it. With a badass girl gang, gorgeous art work and colours and a bizarre storyline with a stranger things vibe, what's not to love? I'm super intrigued by the whole time travel element and that cliffhanger ending has me desperate to continue with this series. There were a few problematic pieces of dialogue (tw homophobia) due to the time period in which it's set but I was glad to see that they were pretty much instantly
